Terms of use

These terms govern access to and use of the AltCV service offered by ON'Dev(the "Publisher"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms as published online at the time of use.

1. Purpose of the service

AltCVlets you build a professional profile, tailor a CV from a job posting, export a PDF, keep a history, and track applications. The service is provided "as is" within the reasonable technical means of an MVP.

2. Account and access

Authentication relies on an AltCV account (email and password or Google / LinkedIn sign-in). You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential. The Publisher may suspend or delete an account in cases of manifestly abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful use.

3. User content

You retain intellectual property rights in the content you enter (profile, postings, notes). You grant the Publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the service (including calls to AI models for CV generation at your request).

You warrant that you have the necessary rights in the content you provide and that it does not violate the law or third-party rights.

4. Artificial intelligence — limits and liability

Some features send data (posting text, structured profile data) to an external AI model to suggest CV content. AI may be wrong, omit information, or produce inaccurate wording. Outputs do not constitute legal, HR, or contractual advice.

  • You must review and validate every CV, PDF export, or text before sending it to an employer or publishing it.
  • You must not fabricate professional facts: the service and prompts are designed to rely on your profile; final verification is your responsibility.
  • The Publisher does not guarantee any particular outcome (interview, hire, compliance with a specific posting).

5. Availability and changes

The service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued (including for maintenance, updates, or product decisions). The Publisher is not liable for indirect damages (lost opportunity, data loss not attributable to gross negligence within the limits of applicable law).

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher's aggregate liability for proven direct damages related to the user's paid service may be capped at what is reasonable for a free or MVP service; statutory liability exclusions that are not valid towards French consumers are not intended by this clause.

7. Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy.

8. Paid service and billing

Some features are available through a paid Pro subscription. Sales, renewal, cancellation, and withdrawal terms for paid offers are detailed in the terms of sale.

9. Governing law and disputes

Unless mandatory rules provide otherwise, French law applies. French courts have jurisdiction for disputes within the material jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
